The retreat is hosted on Grootbos Private Nature Reserve – a unique environment that celebrates the Cape Floral Kingdom and is home to over 800 species of plants. You’ll acquire an appreciation for the interdependence of nature, the elemental of factors that shape the ecosystem and the tiny creatures that enable it to thrive.
Your host & facilitator
Tom Fels is a transformative leader, change catalyst and entrepreneur, committed to helping purposeful people and organisations achieve their highest potential.
He is the founder of impact consultancy and experiential leadership business, Animarem. Prior to this he was CEO at the iconic ecotourism business Singita and Managing Director of highly awarded communications group Publicis Machine, informing his unique brand of advisory as a business transformation consultant, leadership guide and purpose coach.
Tom is the Southern Africa representative of the global B Corp movement, leads B Tourism for Middle East & Africa and is an Ambassador of the Transformational Travel Council.
What is included?
This exclusive experience happens only 3 times per year.
3 nights inclusive accommodation at Garden Lodge, Grootbos 5* Private Nature Reserve.
Daily nature experiences and activities facilitated by a professional nature guide.
Meals and drinks at the Lodge (excluding alcohol).

Itinerary sequence
The experience provides the space, input and context for you to enjoy time to think, discover, connect and structure the beginnings of your future roadmap. The natural adventures, facilitated and self-work sessions are designed with this in mind.

Travel logistics
Arrival at Grootbos, Forest Lodge 2-2:30pm on Friday 19th November, departure mid morning Monday 22nd November.
The Retreat will be full board (all meals and luxury 5* accommodation) on a per couple or sharing basis.
Fitness level required: Entry level. You'll need to be able to walk with ease for 60 minutes on hiking trails, mostly moderate with occasional steep climbs.
Who should go: The ideal traveler is a person in leadership who values connection, immersion, and transformation through adventure.
Age: Minimum 25 years old
Group Size: We intentionally keep groups small, the ideal size for this experience is 10-12 people. We encourage individuals, partners (personal and professional) and friends to join, so long as they are committed to openness, learning and dialogue in the broader group setting.
Minimum numbers must be met for trip to proceed.
